Mark Making

For this project, the main objective was to use four brushes that were words to create a portrait. I used only one word on each different layer. I used NYC, gossip girl, Serena, and xoxo. We used the quick selection tool and the select similar option to separate each value. Then I made a new layer for each value and would use the mark making skill, using one brush, to create the value from the original photo. The hardest part of the project was making the words visible while also trying to make the portrait look realistic. I also used a regular brush on a low opacity to create the purple undertone. Finally, I used the brushes that I made and added purple words to the background layer to really show the brushes that I used.
